An excellent reference book. It is easy to read. The book is in its fourth edition, and is probably the most comprehensive book on Javascript.

Javascript Pocket Reference

It actually fits in your pocket. Now in its second edition, and covering up through JavaScript 1.2, it is a great little reference book for the JavaScript programmer.

Javascript Bible
Danny Goodman, Michael Morrison / Paperback / Published 2004

This is the fifth edition of this book, which covers JavaScript 1.2 in great detail. It is a good tutorial book. It is good for experts and beginners. Lots of examples. Comes with a CD-ROM.

Javascript for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide

Now in its fifth edition, it is very good book for people who know HTML and want to learn JavaScript. It is a beginner book for non-technical Web authors.
