What is an absolute URL?
- service is the type of service requested. The name of the service for accessing Web pages is http.
- hostname is the name of the computer system. The name is usually made up of machine name followed by a dot (.) followed by the domain name.
- filename is the name of the file you are accessing. This could be a relative path name or an absolute path name.
